Falcao calls out for support

Atletico Madrid forward Radamel Falcao has called on the club's supporters to get behind the team's push for Champions League qualification.
Atletico's form of late has been somewhat inconsistent and their fans' mounting frustration is manifesting itself in boos and whistles.
Falcao insists that he has not been affected by the backlash but he feels that the criticism is hardly constructive and argues that if Atletico are to finish fourth, they will need the full support of the Vicente Calderon crowd.
"I try to isolate myself from the comments," the Colombian said. "We know what we want to do and we do not care what people are saying outside the group.
"And it's not really my place to judge people who come to the stadium. We just want to play at the top of our game and let the results speak for themselves.
"What is true, though, is that we need the fans to support us if we play well or badly."
Falcao has enjoyed a productive debut season in Spain but insists that he is more concerned with finishing as high up La Liga as possible than his final goal tally.
"Things have been improving for the team and, personally, I have tried to help the team by scoring goals," the former Porto man explained. "Above all else, that's what I was brought here to do.
"But if, as a team, the group does not achieve its goals, then all of those goals I've scored will count for nothing. They will only have value if we do important things."
Atletico are currently eighth in the table, five points adrift of fourth-placed Levante, and face Real Zaragoza on Sunday.
