Redknapp: Modric Bakal Dilepas ke Madrid

London - Negosiasi transfer Luka Modric dari Tottenham Hotspur ke Real Madrid kabarnya tengah menemui jalan buntu. Tetapi janji Spurs ke Modric musim lalu diyakini akan membuat pemain itu pada akhirnya akan tetap jadi milik Madrid.

Musim panas ini Modric digadang-gadang akan meninggalkan Spurs. Madrid tampak jadi peminat paling serius untuk memboyong pemain berusia 26 tahun tersebut.

Akan tetapi, perkara harga membuat negosiasi saat ini dilaporkan terhenti. Spurs menginginkan 40 juta poundsterling untuk Modric sedangkan Madrid cuma bersedia membayar 33 juta poundsterling saja.

Pun begitu, Harry Redknapp yang baru digantikan oleh Andre Villas-Boas untuk mengisi posisi manajer Spurs menilai kalau Modric pada akhirnya akan hijrah ke Madrid.

"Saya tidak yakin Luka akan memulai musim ini bersama Tottenham. Klub akan dengan senang hati menjualnya jika harganya tepat," kata Redknapp di The Sun.

"Tahun lalu Chairman (Daniel Levy) mengatakan kepadanya, 'Beri kami waktu satu musim lalu dan jika Real datang, kami tidak akan menghalangimu'," ungkap Redknapp.

Premier League preview: Tottenham vs Fulham

koclokindoblog, 11 Mei 2012,Tottenham host Fulham on the final day of the Premier League season knowing three points could secure a Champions League berth next season.

Tottenham, in fourth on 66 points, trail London rivals Arsenal, who travel to West Bromwich Albion, by one point with one game to play.

Should they win and Arsenal falter, Tottenham would leapfrog the Gunners into third and clinch a spot in the Champions League group stage.

Should Arsenal win however, Tottenham would be left in a fight for fourth with Newcastle United, in fifth on 65 points, facing Everton away.

Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul believes his side deserve a shot at joining Manchester City and Manchester United in the Champions League.

"Arsenal and Newcastle have both been good, but we've been more consistent," Kaboul told the Best of Africa Awards in London.

"Let's hope that we can play in the Champions League next season because I think we deserve it after the great season we've had.

"We are going to give everything on Sunday to win and show the country we are here, and we want to play in the Champions League next season."



Fulham have won five and drawn one of their last seven games and could finish as high as seventh with three points from their journey to north London.

While Fulham have failed to score in six of their last seven trips to White Hart Lane, manager Martin Jol, who was sacked as Tottenham boss in 2007, insists there is no pressure on his side to perform.

"At the start of the season, when I saw the schedule, and I saw the game against Spurs in the last game of the season, I thought it could be difficult," Jol told the Ealing Gazette.

"An away game at Spurs, if there's a lot to play for, is a difficult game. But now we have 52 points, there's no problem and we can enjoy the day.

"If we can get three points there, we can get to seventh. It will be exciting and I love this excitement."

Benoit Assou-Ekotto will miss with a dislocated shoulder and Niko Krancjar is also unavailable, while Bryan Ruiz and Andy Johnson are missing for Fulham.

Manchester City Siapkan Dana Besar Untuk Mendapatkan Gareth Bale

Tottenham sudah menegaskan tidak akan melepas pemain terbaiknya, termasuk Bale, untuk mempertahankan posisi mereka sebagai tim papan atas di Inggris.

Hal itu sepertinya belum membuat klub kaya seperti City cepat menyerah. Mereka bahkan sudah menyiapkan tawaran besar bagi pemain yang juga dikabarkan diincar Barcelona itu.

Menurut berita dari Mirror Football, City siap menambah gaji pemain asal Wales itu sampai tiga kali lipat dari yang diterimanya saat ini.

City juga menyiapkan tawaran sekitar £40 juta plus sejumlah pemain pada Spurs. Salah satunya adalah Emmanuel Adebayor yang sedang menjalani masa pinjaman di Spurs.

Selain akan melepas Adebayor, City juga akan memberikan pemain lainnya seperti Nigel de Jong atau Adam Johnson untuk dilepas ke Spurs demi bisa memboyong Bale.

Premier League preview: Aston Villa vs Tottenham

koclokindoblog, 4 Mei 2012, Aston Villa must fix their goal-scoring troubles without striker Darren Bent as they look to stave off relegation against Tottenham on Sunday.

Villa have scored one goal in four matches as they move closer towards the English Premier League's relegation zone and manager Alex McLeish revealed this week he had looked into bringing Bent back from an ankle injury that he suffered in February.

But while the England international striker, who is Villa's top scorer this season with nine goals in the EPL, is recovering well, McLeish will not risk him in his side's final two games of the season.

"I said 'are you ready to go on the bench at the weekend or something," McLeish said on Wednesday.

"(Bent) said: 'No, not quite, but I'm making good progress, so boss it might be too soon'.

"I don't believe there is a chance of him playing again for Villa this season."

Instead the 53-year-old manager will make do with the players at his disposal against Tottenham on Sunday and against Norwich on the final day of the season.

Villa are the second-worst attacking team in the EPL this season with just 36 goals in as many games and could be dragged level with teams in the relegation zone if they lose to Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers overcome Stoke and Bolton defeat West Brom.

Villa are 15th on the table, two spots clear of the relegation zone, equal with Wigan on 37 points and only three points ahead of QPR and Bolton.

Apart from Bent, Villa's best scorers this season are Gabriel Agbonlahor (5 goals), Stiliyan Petrov (4 goals), who is out as he fights leukemia, and Robbie Keane (3 goals), who has finished his loan-spell and is back with the Los Angeles Galaxy.

McLeish's side host a Tottenham side back in form on Sunday.

Tottenham went into last weekend having only managed two victories in the Premier League since the start of February but have now notched two in a row.

Harry Redknapp's men defeated Blackburn 2-0 on Sunday and then thumped Bolton 4-1 on Wednesday to move back into fourth spot on the league table.

That spot could come with a Champions League spot, assuming Chelsea do not win this season's final, and Redknapp will be pushing Tottenham to ensure they stay ahead of Newcastle with a win against Villa.

Tottenham are on 65 points, ahead of Newcastle on goal difference and just behind third-placed Arsenal, who have 66 points.

Premier League preview: Bolton vs Tottenham

koclokindoblog, 2 Mei 2012, Bolton and Tottenham have plenty still to play for in their English Premier League match at the Reebok Stadium on Wednesday.

Owen Coyle's Bolton are in the relegation zone ahead of the clash with Spurs, but hold a game in hand over their immediate rivals on the table.

Just one point would see them escape the bottom three, at the expense of QPR.

And dropped points for Tottenham would put a dent in the fourth-placed visitors' challenge for the final Champions League qualification berth.

Newcastle are fifth and level on points with Spurs, while Chelsea are one point behind in sixth spot.

That being the case, Spurs need to win their final three games to guarantee fourth, and hope Chelsea lose the Champions League final to Bayern Munich, so fourth place in the Premier League still carriers the reward of a European place next term.

However, manager Harry Redknapp has his sights on third place and automatic Champions League rights, unaffected by Chelsea's fortunes in this year's final.

Redknapp cited the example of Wigan's shock 2-1 win over Arsenal as a reason not to take anything for granted between now and the end of the season.

"We've just got to keep going and you never know what will happen," he said.

"Who'd have thought Wigan would pull off that result at the Emirates?"

Spurs have an extensive injury list, consisting of defenders Benoit Assou-Ekotto (shoulder) and Michael Dawson (ankle), as well as midfielders Niko Kranjcar (knee), Tom Huddlestone (ankle) and Davis Bentley (knee).

Bolton also have several key players sidelined, including Fabrice Muamba (illness), Ricardo Gardner (hip), Lee Chung-Yong (broken leg) and Stuart Holden (knee).

Premier League preview: Tottenham vs Blackburn

Harry Redknapp's side are winless in four outings in all competitions, dropping to fifth in the English Premier League.

The in-form Newcastle United have moved into fourth, leaving Tottenham in danger of missing out on a Champions League place.

Tottenham, who are a point clear of Chelsea, are reportedly suffering from tiredness late in the campaign.

Strike duo Emmanuel Adebayor (13 league goals) and Jermain Defoe (10) have struggled to find form, while Gareth Bale has also struggled in 2012.

Since the start of February, Bale has managed just one assist and has failed to find the net.

But a clash against relegation-threatened Blackburn could be just what Tottenham need to give them a boost late in the season.

Tottenham, who could regain Adebayor from his hamstring strain, have won five straight league matches against Rovers, who are three points from safety.

Steve Kean's men have needed the good work of striker Yakubu (16 league goals), but the Nigerian has netted in just two of his last 10 league outings.

Blackburn midfielder David Dunn said on Thursday three cup finals awaited his team if they wanted to avoid the drop.

"The Wigan game a week after is a really big one. I would say that the next three fixtures are three cup finals for us," he told Sky Sports.

"I think this year everyone knows it has been a really testing season for us, both on and off the pitch.

"It is going to take a really big effort. At times on Saturday (in the 2-0 win over Norwich), we played OK. I didn't think it was the best we've played this season but we got a result.

"Certainly at this stage of the season a much needed three points is crucial."

A point would be a good result away at Tottenham before the vital relegation six-pointer against Wigan.

Premier League preview: QPR vs Tottenham

koclokindoblog, 19 April 2012, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp will be hoping a return to goal-scoring form for Emmanuel Adebayor will see his team back to winning ways.

Tottenham are without a win in three games and travel the short distance across London to play Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Redknapp's side last won against Swansea on April 1, the last match to include a goal from Adebayor.

The former Togo international is clearly crucial to Tottenham's form.

In the five-game run without victory in the Premier League through February and March saw Adebayor score just once in the 5-2 defeat to Arsenal.

Saturday's London derby is crucial for Tottenham as they try to solidify their chances of playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Tottenham are fourth with 59 points in the Champions League qualifying spot, but fifth-placed Newcastle are only behind on goal difference and Chelsea are also close on 57 points.

Redknapp's side were thumped 5-1 by Chelsea in their FA Cup semi-final on Sunday and need the win both to keep their rivals at bay and to improve their morale.

QPR will also be desperate for victory as they try to stave off relegation.

Mark Hughes' side sit just above the relegation zone in 17th spot with 31 points.

Bolton are just two points behind, while Blackburn are also within touching distance on 28 points.

QPR's last game was a 1-0 loss away to West Bromwich.

Their last seven games have alternated between victory and defeat, with all wins coming at home.

That is a positive sign for Hughes as QPR have defeated Swansea, Arsenal and Liverpool in the last three matches on their home turf.

Hughes has Djibril Cisse available for selection again on Saturday with the Frenchman having served his four-match ban for a red card against Sunderland on March 24, his second sending off since joining QPR in the January transfer window.

While Cisse has played just five games since his transfer from Lazio, he has scored three goals in that time, ironically in the three matches in which he did not receive a red card.

If the flamboyant 30-year-old can maintain control, his undeniable quality and goal-scoring sense could be crucial to QPR's quest to avoid relegation.

Jika kami gagal meraih kemenangan, maka persaingan bakal semakin ketat. Karenanya, kami harus yakin mampu meraih tiga poin. Kami harus menyiapkan diri dengan baik mengingat laga lawan Stoke bakal berjalan dengan sulit dan sengit,” tandas Redknapp.
