Glasgow (ANTARA
News) - Juara Skotlandia Celtic mengejutkan juara Liga Champions empat
pertandingan Grup G, hanya sehari setelah tim tamu merayakan ulang tahun
ke-125.
Skor 1-0 pun bertahan hingga babak pertama usai.
Babak kedua dimulai.
Ibra dipercaya menjadi eksekutornya.
Skor 2-2 bertahan hingga waktu normal 90 menit usai.
Sedangkan liga ranking enam sampai 21 mendapatkan bobot 1,5. Sementara selebihnya dikalikan satu.

Sebelum turun minum kiper Espanyol Cristian Alvarez melakukan dua penyelamatan gemilang.
koclokindoblog, 1 Mei 2012, Brazil legend Clodoaldo said Neymar da Silva Santos Junior is now the best player in the world.
Clodoaldo said even when he is not at his best, the Santos forward still contributes greatly to his team's cause - unlike Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.
The latter is widely regarded as the greatest talent in the game today, having broken all sorts of records with Barca and picked up the Ballon d'Or for the past three years.
However, Clodoaldo believes Neymar is superior because he never has a bad game.
"I'm an admirer of his," the World Cup winner told Goal.com.
"I think he is now the best player in world football.
"I say that while acknowledging that, Messi, for example, is fantastic, but when he plays badly, he plays very badly.
"But Neymar, when he plays badly, he still manages to be a seven (out of 10). He can have a reasonable influence on the game even when he is performing at his minimum level, which is a very positive side of Neymar."
Clodoaldo also weighed in on the ongoing debate over whether the 20-year-old attacker needs to move overseas at some stage in his career to fully realise his potential, claiming that Neymar may come to accept that if he is to be accepted as better than Messi, he will have to prove himself in Europe.
"I think that the future will bring a need for Neymar moving to Europe," the former Santos midfielder said.
"I believe he will be here for another good while yet, but I am sure that the need and the curiosity to play against the great teams of Italy, Germany, England and Spain will appeal to him and awaken his curiosity to know how he would fare in these leagues.
"In Santos, he could end up participating in tournaments against Real Madrid, against Chelsea and so on. But if this does not happen in the coming years, I think we'll see him moving to another continent.
"I'm not saying it will happen now but maybe after the World Cup (in 2014).
"He may feel the need to leave not because he will take the crown of Pele, but because he will want to take the crown of Messi."
Neymar's contract with Santos runs until 2014 and it has been claimed that he will link up with Messi's Barcelona at that point.
koclokindoblog, 12 April 2012, Penyerang lincah Barcelona, Lionel Messi tak henti-hentinya menciptakan rekor.
AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri was left gutted by the crucial second penalty 'gifted' to Barcelona in their 3-1 Champions League victory.
Lionel Messi converted from the spot twice to give Barcelona a 2-1 advantage before half-time in the sides' quarter-final tie, following their 0-0 draw in the first leg at the San Siro, before Andreas Iniesta killed off the contest in the second half with a cool finish at the Camp Nou.
Antonio Nocerino had made it 1-1 with a neat finish from Zlatan Ibrahimovic's pass, after Messi had scored the opener from the spot.
Alessandro Nesta fouled the Argentine for the first penalty, giving the referee little choice, but it was his second foul for an alleged pull of Sergio Busquets' shirt that left Allegri fuming.
"They had two penalties, one gifted by us, the other gifted by the referee," Allegri said.
"It's a shame, as it was a moment of the match where Barcelona weren't doing much and it was just before the break."
Ibrahimovic was left disgusted by referee Bjorn Kuipers' decision, claiming Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho's long-held view on perceived favouritism of Barcelona was starting to have some merit.
"We got back to 1-1 and then we saw a penalty decision given against us that I cannot understand. The ball was not in play, but he whistled. It was an odd decision, a strange decision. It ruined the game," Ibrahimovic said.
"They don't need to be given favours. We're talking about the best team in the world. I'm starting to understand Mourinho's reaction every time he comes here. I've been through it myself now. I understand more and more."
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola was happy for his players to do their talking on the pitch, claiming their 21 shots to Milan's three reflected their dominance.
"They have had three efforts on goal and we have had 21 and this is against a strong Italian team," Guardiola said.
He went on to refute former Barca player Ibrahimovic's claims as his side made the semi-finals of the competition for a fifth-straight season.
"Ibrahimovic can say the same as Mourinho but we respond on the pitch. They were two penalties.
"They were fouls in the area and they were given so they were two penalties. This is what I have been taught since I was a child.
"If Ibrahimovic says it is thanks to the referees then fine, but we have qualified five times and the players speak on the pitch, which is where they should do their talking."
The reigning champions could well face a repeat of their 2009 semi-final with Chelsea as the Londoners hold a 1-0 advantage over Benfica heading into the second leg at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
"Chelsea still have a game to play, in the Champions League everything is very difficult. We have to be cautious with Benfica, Chelsea have a very good team but everything is possible," he said.
Dani Alves believes Barcelona are reaping the benefits of his close friendship with team-mate Lionel Messi.
Brazil international Alves and Argentine Messi have developed an excellent understanding in the attacking third of the field for Barca.
And former Sevilla man Alves has attributed their productivity to the amount of time they spend together away from football.
"Since the first contact we had with one another, we have had a very good friendship," Alves told Globoesporte.
"This rapport has also produced results on the field of play. What we have done together has greatly helped our team.
"We have no need to even look up as we already know where one another are.
"But the most important thing is the kind of person he is. I've had the pleasure of meeting his family, which consists of humble, working-class people."
Alves, 28, feels the two men's friendship is not unusual, even though they come from countries which have long been adversaries on the football field.
"The Brazilians and the Argentines only have a rivalry when they're facing each other," he said.
"Off the field, we are people who identify strongly with one another. What separates us is football.
"They have a hunger to win and we have that too. I would say this is the only downside to this good relationship that we have."
Barcelona will be hoping the pair are on the same wavelength once again in Saturday's vital La Liga clash with Athletic Bilbao at Camp Nou.
Barcelona striker Lionel Messi was disappointed with the 0-0 draw against AC Milan on Wednesday.
The Catalans created a number of chances in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie, but failed to find the net at San Siro, and Messi feels that the poor condition of the pitch made things difficult for Barca.
"It was a tough match that we should have won. We played our game but it was difficult because of the pitch, and because they (Milan) are very strong," Messi told the club's official website.
The Argentine then admitted that Barca face a perilous scenario in the return leg at home as the tie remains delicately poised.
"It’s a dangerous situation. Either team could go through. We hope we can score in the return so it will be us. We deserved to win (the first leg)."
Meanwhile, Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf felt his team should have done better in front of goal.
The Serie A champions put in a strong defensive display to shut out the Catalans, but were also unable to find the net themselves.
"We’re satisfied with the result even if we have to be more clinical in front of goal. We had three big chances and that could make the difference," Seedorf told the Milan website.
"It’s a good result that leaves qualification open. We’ll need courage, quality and tactical awareness in the return.
"You can’t press for 90 minutes, but we did well and Barcelona respect us. The pitch at San Siro is the way it is. We have Catania next and then we'll think about the second leg. Now we need to rest."
Maka tak ayal, ketika menghadapi Barca tim lawan mesti mewaspadai Messi.
Lionel Messi's father Jorge said he never dreamed his son would break Barcelona's all-time goal-scoring record at such a young age.
The 24-year-old Argentina international has been in fine form of late, and a hat-trick against Granada earlier this week increased his tally for Barca to 234, seeing him surpass Cesar Rodriguez at the top of the charts.
"You always dream about these things, but I never thought he would do it so young," Jorge Messi told Argentine news agency Telam.
"I believe his contribution to the team is more important, although it is still great to see him score a goal, especially in this situation.
"I guess it is important to be remembered for a club like Barcelona, but what he enjoys most is that Barca are still in the race to win the league."
Messi senior went on to reveal that his son's chief objective was now on the international stage.
"His dream is to win a World Cup with the national team. Leo has always wanted that," he said.
David Trezeguet believes Jose Mourinho would have enjoyed considerably more success were it not for Lionel Messi's Barcelona.
Portuguese Mourinho is regarded as one of the finest coaches of his generation, and lifted the Copa del Rey in his first campaign at Real Madrid last season.
He won the Champions League at Porto and Inter Milan, but was foiled by Barca in the same competition during his time at Chelsea.
Former France international Trezeguet feels Mourinho would have added several more titles to his impressive CV were Argentine forward Messi not such a force for Barca.
"If Messi was not at the club, Mourinho would have earned 10 times more trophies than he has won," Trezeguet told Tyc Sports.
"He is the best in the world. He takes the ball and goes one on one with the keeper six or seven times per game - he is outstanding among ten other outstanding players.
"Barcelona are bright, while Madrid, one of the best teams in the world, still live in the dark."
Trezeguet said his fellow professionals have offered the highest praise of Mourinho's approach to coaching.
"Everyone has spoken well of him to me," he said.
"The players of Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid. He has a lot of dialogue with the players and is a great motivator."

Lionel Messi broke Barcelona's scoring record with a hat-trick in the club's 5-3 La Liga win over Granada on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old Argentine entered the match with 231 goals for Barcelona, one short of the club record set by Cesar Rodriguez from 1942-1955.
Messi started his night by setting up a goal, rather than scoring one, as he laid on the assist for Xavi's opener after just four minutes.
Messi then equalled the record with his 17th minute effort before a spirited Granada side gave Barca a scare at the Nou Camp.
Firstly, Mainz pulled a goal back 10 minutes into the second half before Dani Alves conceded a penalty after fouling Carlos Martins.
And the spot-kick was dispatched by Mexican defender Guilherme Siqueira to level proceedings just after the hour-mark.
The man of the moment was not about to be denied though and he broke the club's scoring record when he bagged his second goal on 67 minutes.
Tello made it 4-2 with eight minutes left and Messi rounded out the evening with his third moments later.
There was still time for Siqueira to score a second penalty of the night after Alves was sent off for handling in the area, but Barca were impressive in victory as they reduced the margin on table-toppers Real Madrid to just five points.
Messi has now scored an incredible 54 goals in 45 matches for Barcelona this season.
In the other La Liga match on Tuesday, Osasuna and Getafe played out a goalless draw.
A win would have lifted Osasuna to fourth but they were forced to settle for a point in front of their home fans.
Lionel Andrés Messi (born June 24, 1987 in Rosario) is an Argentine football (soccer) player.
Lionel Messi started playing football at a very early age in his hometown's Newell's Old Boys. From the age of 11, he suffered from a hormone deficiency and as Lionel's parents were unable to pay for the treatment in Argentina, they decided to move to Barcelona, Spain.
In the 2003-2004 season, when he was still only 16, Messi made his first team debut in a friendly with Porto that marked the opening of the new Dragao stadium. The following championship-winning season, Messi made his first appearance in an official match on October 16, 2004, in Barcelona's derby win against Espanyol at the Olympic Stadium (0-1).
With several first team players seriously injured, the services of several reserve team players were called upon, and Messi became a regular feature of Barça squads. On May 1, 2005, he became the youngest player ever to score a league goal for FC Barcelona - against Albacete when Messi was only 17 years, 10 months and 7 days old.
He was offered the chance to play for the Spain national football team, but declined, prefering to wait for the opportunity to play for the country of his birth. In June 2004 he got his chance, playing in a U-20 friendly match against Paraguay.
Lionel Messi wearing FC Barcelona's colorsIn June 2005 he starred for the Argentina U-20 team that won the Football World Youth Championship played in The Netherlands.
essi picked up the Golden Boot as top scorer with 6 goals, and the Golden Ball for the best player of the tournament. Despite his youth, Lionel has already drawn comparisons with Diego Maradona, arguably the best football player of all time.
On September 25, 2005 Messi obtained a Spanish citizenship and was finally able to make his debut in this season's Spanish First Division. He had previously been unable to play because FC Barcelona had filled up all of their quota of non-EU players.
Messi's first outing in the UEFA Champions League at the Nou Camp was on Sept 28 against Italian club Udinese. He impressed with some great passing and a seemingly telepathic relationship with Ronaldinho that earned him a standing ovation from the 70,000-odd Nou Camp faithful. On December of that year, the Italian newspaper Tuttosport awarded him the Golden Boy 2005 title for the best under-21 player in Europe, over Wayne Rooney and Lukas Podolski
In September 2005, Messi was given an improved and extended contract until 2014.
Founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English and Catalan footballers led by Joan Gamper, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalanism, hence the motto "Més que un club" (English: More than a club). The official Barça anthem is the "Cant del Barça" written by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs. Unlike many other football clubs, the supporters own and operate Barcelona. It is the world's second richest football club in terms of revenue, with an annual turnover of €398 million. The club holds a long-standing rivalry with Real Madrid, and matches between the two teams are referred to as "El Clásico".
They are the current Spanish and European football champions, and the most successful club in Spanish football in terms of domestic and overall trophies, having won 21 La Liga, 25 Copa del Rey, 10 Supercopa de España, 3 Copa Eva Duart and 2 Copa de la Liga trophies, as well as being the record holder for the latter four competitions. In international club footballBarcelona have won four UEFA Champions League, a record four UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, four UEFA Super Cup and two FIFA Club World Cup trophies. They also won a record three Inter-Cities Fairs Cup trophies, considered the predecessor to the UEFA Cup-Europa League.
Barcelona have played continental football every season since 1955, and is one of the only three clubs to have never been relegated from La Liga, along with Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. In 2009, Barcelona became the first club in Spain to win the treble consisting of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Champions League. That same year, it also became the first football club ever to win six out of six competitions in a single year, thus completing the sextuple, comprising the aforementioned treble and the Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
HistoryOn 22 October 1899, Hans Kamper placed an advertisement in Los Deportes declaring his wish to form a football club; a positive response resulted in a meeting at the Gimnasio Solé on 29 November. Eleven players attended—Walter Wild(the first director of the club), Lluís d'Ossó, Bartomeu Terradas, Otto Kunzle, Otto Maier, Enric Ducal, Pere Cabot, Carles Pujol, Josep Llobet, John Parsons, and William Parsons—and Foot-Ball Club Barcelona was born
FC Barcelona had a successful start in regional and national cups, competing in the Campionat de Catalunya and the Copa del Rey. In 1902, the club won its first trophy, the Copa Macaya, and participated in the first Copa del Rey, losing 1–2 to Bizcaya in the final. Gamper became club president in 1908, the club in financial difficulty after not winning a competition since the Campionat de Catalunya in 1905. Club president on five separate occasions between 1908 and 1925, he spent 25 years in total at the helm. One of his main achievements was ensuring Barça acquire its own stadium and thus generate a stable income.
On 14 March 1909, the team moved into the Camp de la Indústria, a larger stadium with a seating capacity of 8,000 people. From 1910 to 1914 Barcelona participated in the Pyrenees Cup, which consisted of the best teams of Languedoc, Midi, Aquitaine (Southern France), the Basque Country, and Catalonia. At that time it was considered the finest competition open for participation. During the same period, the club changed its official language from Castilian to Catalan and gradually evolved into an important symbol of Catalan identity. For many fans, supporting the club had less to do with the game itself and more with being a part of the club's collective identity.
Gamper launched a campaign to recruit more club members, and by 1922 the club had over 20,000 members and was able to finance a new stadium. The club to moved to the new Les Corts, inaugurated the same year. Les Corts had an initial capacity of 22,000, which was later expanded to 60,000. Jack Greenwell was recruited as the first full-time manager, and the club's fortunes began to improve on the field. During the Gamper era, FC Barcelona won eleven Campionat de Catalunya, six Copas del Rey, and four Pyrenees Cups.
Club de Fútbol Barcelona
With Helenio Herrera as manager, a young Luis Suárez, the European Footballer of the Year in 1960, and two influential Hungarians recommended by Kubala, Sándor Kocsis and Zoltán Czibor, the team won another national double in 1959 and a La Liga and Inter-Cities Fairs Cup double in 1960. In 1961 they became the first club to beat Real Madrid in European Cup competition, but lost 3–2 to Benfica in the final.
The 1960s were less successful for the club, with Real Madrid monopolising La Liga. The building of the Camp Nou, completed in 1957, meant the club had little money to spend on new players. On the positive side, the decade saw the emergence of Josep Maria Fusté and Carles Rexach, and the club won the Copa del Generalísimo in 1963 and the Fairs Cup in 1966. Barça restored some of its former pride by beating Real Madrid 1–0 in the 1968 Copa del Generalísimo final at the Bernabéu, in front of Franco, with former republican pilot Salvador Artigas as manager. The end of Franco's dictatorship in 1974 saw the club changing its official name back to Futbol Club Barcelona and reverting the crest to its original design, again including the original letters.
The 1973–74 season saw the arrival of Johan Cruyff, who was bought for a world record £920,000 from Ajax. Already an established player in Holland, Cruyff quickly won over the Barça fans when he told the European press he chose Barça over Real Madrid because he could not play for a club associated with Franco. He further endeared himself when he chose the Catalan name Jordi, after the local saint, for his son. Next to players of quality like Juan Manuel Asensi, Carles Rexach, and Hugo Sotil, he helped the club win the La Liga title in 1973–74 for the first time since 1960. defeating Real Madrid 5–0 at the Bernabéu along the way. He was crowned European Footballer of the Year in 1973 during his first season with Barcelona (his second Ballon d'Or win; he won his first while playing for Ajax in 1971). Cruyff received this prestigious award a third time (the first player ever to do so) in 1974 while he was still with Barcelona.
Núñez and the stabilisation years (1978–2000)
Beginning with Josep Lluís Núñez in 1978, the president of FC Barcelona has been elected by the club members. This decision was closely tied to Spain's transition to democracy in 1974 and the end of Franco's dictatorship. Núñez's main objective was to develop Barça into a world-class club by giving it stability both on and off the pitch. On recommendation from Cruyff, Núñez inaugurated La Masia as Barcelona's youth academy on 20 October 1979. His presidency was to last for 22 years and it deeply affected the image of Barcelona, as Núñez held to a strict policy regarding wages and discipline, letting players such as Diego Maradona, Romário and Ronaldo go rather than meeting their demands.
On 16 May 1979, the club won its first UEFA Cup Winners' Cup by beating Fortuna Düsseldorf 4–3 in Basel in a final that was watched by more than 30,000 travelling blaugrana fans. In June 1982 Maradona was signed for a then-world record fee of £5 million from Boca Juniors. In the following season, under manager Menotti, Barcelona won the Copa del Rey, beating Real Madrid. Maradona's time with Barça was short-lived; he soon left for Napoli. At the start of the 1984–85 season Terry Venables was hired as manager, and he won La Liga with notable displays by German midfielder Bernd Schuster. The next season Venables took the team to their second European Cup final, only to lose on penalties toSteaua Bucureşti during a dramatic evening in Seville.
After the 1986 FIFA World Cup, English top scorer Gary Lineker was signed along with goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta, but the team could not achieve success as Schuster was excluded from the team. Venables was fired at the beginning of the 1987–88 season and replaced with Luis Aragonés. The players rebelled against president Núñez in an event that became known as the Hesperia mutiny, and a 1–0 victory at the Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad finished out the season
In 1988, Johan Cruyff returned to the club as manager and he assembled the so-called Dream Team. He used a mix of Spanish players like Josep Guardiola, José Mari Bakero, and Txiki Begiristain while signing international stars such as Ronald Koeman, Michael Laudrup, Romário, and Hristo Stoichkov. Under his guidance, Barcelona won four consecutive La Liga titles from 1991 to 1994. They beat Sampdoria in both the 1989 Cup Winners' Cup final and the 1992 European Cup final at Wembley. They also won a Copa del Rey in 1990, the European Super Cup in 1992, and three Supercopa de España. With 11 trophies, Cruyff became the club's most successful manager, until being overtaken by Pep Guardiola in 2011. He also became the club's longest consecutive serving manager, serving 8 years. Cruyff's fortune changed in his final two seasons, when he failed to win any trophies and fell out with president Núñez, resulting in his departure.
Cruyff was briefly replaced by Bobby Robson, who took charge of the club for a single season in 1996–97. He recruited Ronaldo from PSV and delivered a cup treble, winning the Copa del Rey, Cup Winners Cup, and the Supercopa de España. Despite his success Robson was only ever seen as a short-term solution while the club waited for Louis van Gaal to become available. Like Maradona, Ronaldo only stayed a short time as he left for Internazionale. However, new heroes such as Luís Figo, Patrick Kluivert, Luis Enrique, and Rivaldo emerged and the team won a Copa del Rey and La Liga double in 1998. In 1999 the club celebrated its 'centenari', winning the Primera División title. Rivaldo became the fourth Barça player to be awarded European Footballer of the Year. Despite this domestic success, the failure to emulate Real Madrid in the Champions League led to van Gaal and Núñez resigning in 2000.
Exit Núñez, enter Laporta (2000–2008)
The departures of Núñez and van Gaal were nothing compared to that of Luís Figo. As well as club vice-captain, Figo had become a cult hero and was considered by Catalans to be one of their own. Barça fans were distraught by Figo's decision to join arch-rivals Real Madrid, and during subsequent visits to the Camp Nou, he was given an extremely hostile reception. Upon his first return a piglet's head and a full bottle of whiskey were thrown at him from the crowd. President Núñez was replaced by Joan Gaspart in 2000, and the three years he was in charge, saw the club decline and managers came and went; van Gaal served a second term. Gaspart did not inspire confidence off the field either and in 2003, he and van Gaal resigned.
After the disappointment of the Gaspart era, the club bounced back with the combination of a new young president, Joan Laporta, and a young new manager, former Dutch player Frank Rijkaard. On the field, an influx of international players combined with home-grown Spanish players led to the club's return to success. Barça won La Liga and the Supercopa de España in 2004–05, and the team's midfielder, Ronaldinho, won the FIFA World Player of the Year award.
In the 2005–06 season, Barcelona repeated their league and Supercup successes. In the Champions League, Barça beat English club Arsenal 2–1 in the final. Trailing 1–0 to a 10-man Arsenal and with less than 15 minutes left, they came back to win 2–1 for the club's first European Cup victory in 14 years. They took part in the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup, but were beaten by a late goal in the final against Brazilian side Internacional. Despite being the favourites and starting strongly, Barcelona finished the 2006–07 season without trophies. A pre-season U.S. tour and open feud between the player Samuel Eto'o and Rijkaard was later blamed for the lack of trophies. In La Liga, Barça were in first place for much of the season, but their inconsistency in the new year allowed Real Madrid to overtake them to become champions.
Football Domination, The Guardiola Era (2008–)
The 2007–08 season was unsuccessful, and as Barça failed to emulate the success of previous years, Barça B youth manager Josep Guardiola took over Frank Rijkaard's duties at the conclusion of the season. Josep Guardiola brought with him the now famous tiki-taka style of play which he had been taught during his time in the Barcelona youth teams. In the process Guardiola sold Ronaldinho and Deco, and started building the Barcelona team around Xavi, Iniesta and Messi.
Barça beat Athletic Bilbao 4–1 in the 2009 Copa del Rey Final, winning the competition for a record-breaking 25th time. A historic 2–6 victory against Real Madrid followed three days later and ensured that Barcelona became La Liga champions for the 2008–09 season. Barça finished the season by beating the previous year's Champions League winners Manchester United 2–0 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to win their third Champions League title and completed the first ever treble won by a Spanish side. The team went on to win the 2009 Supercopa de España against Athletic Bilbao and the 2009 UEFA Super Cup against Shakhtar Donetsk, becoming the first European club to win both domestic and European Super Cups following a treble. In December 2009, Barcelona won the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup, and became the first football club ever to accomplish the sextuple. Barcelona accomplished two new records in Spanish football in 2010 as they retained the La Liga trophy with 99 points and won the Spanish Super Cup trophy for a ninth time.
After Laporta's departure from the club in June 2010, Sandro Rosell was soon elected as the new president. The elections were held on June 13, where he got 61.35% (57,088 votes, a record) of total votes. Rosell signed David Villa from Valencia for €40M and Javier Mascherano from Liverpool for €19M. In November 2010, Barcelona defeated their main rival, Real Madrid 5–0 in El Clásico. In the 2010–11 season, Barcelona retained the La Liga trophy, their third title in succession, finishing with 96 points. In April 2011, the club reached the Copa del Rey final, losing 1–0 to Real Madrid at the Mestalla in Valencia. In May, Barcelona defeated Manchester United in the 2011 Champions League Final 3–1 held at Wembley Stadium, a repeat of the 2009 final, winning their fourth European Cup. In August 2011, the La Masia graduate Cesc Fàbregas was bought from Arsenal and who would help Barcelona defend the Spanish Supercup against Real Madrid. The Supercup victory brought the total amount of official trophies to 73, matching the number of titles won by Real Madrid.
Later the same month, Barcelona won the UEFA Super Cup defeating FC Porto thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Cesc Fábregas, thus extending the club's overall amount of official trophies to 74, surpassing Real Madrid's total amount of official trophies. The UEFA Super Cup victory also marked another impressive achievement as Josep Guardiola won his 12th trophy out of 15 possible in only 3 years at the helm of the club, becoming the all-time record holder of most titles won as a coach at FC Barcelona.
Stadium.
Barcelona initially played in the Camp de la Indústria. The capacity was about 6,000, and club officials deemed the facilities inadequate for a club with growing membership.
In 1922, the number of supporters had surpassed 20,000 and by lending money to the club, Barça was able to build the larger Camp de Les Corts, which had an initial capacity of 20,000 spectators. After the Spanish Civil War the club started attracting more members and a larger number of spectators at matches. This led to several expansion projects: the grandstand in 1944, the southern stand in 1946, and finally the northern stand in 1950. After the last expansion, Les Corts could hold 60,000 spectators.
After the construction was complete there was no further room for expansion at Les Corts. Back-to-back La Liga titles in 1948 and 1949 and the signing of in June 1950 of László Kubala, who would later go on to score 196 goals in 256 matches, drew larger crowds to the games. The club began to make plans for a new stadium. The building of Camp Nou commenced on 28 March 1954, before a crowd of 60,000 Barça fans. The first stone of the future stadium was laid in place under the auspices of Governor Felipe Acedo Colunga and with the blessing of Archbishop of Barcelona Gregorio Modrego. Construction took three years and ended on 24 September 1957 with a final cost of 288 million pesetas, 336% over budget.

In 1980, when the stadium was in need of redesign to meet UEFA criteria, the club raised money by offering supporters the opportunity to inscribe their name on the bricks for a small fee. The idea was popular with supporters, and thousands of people paid the fee. Later this became the centre of controversy when media in Madrid picked up reports that one of the stones was inscribed with the name of long-time Real Madrid chairman and Franco supporter Santiago Bernabéu. In preparation for the 1992 Summer Games two tiers of seating were installed above the previous roofline. It has a current capacity of 96,366 making it the largest stadium in Europe.

Spanish teams are limited to three players without EU citizenship. The squad list includes only the principal nationality of each player; several non-European players on the squad have dual citizenship with an EU country. Also, players from the ACP countries—countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific that are signatories to the Cotonou Agreement—are not counted against non-EU quotas due to the Kolpak ruling.
