Selebrasi Nasri Untuk Jurnalis Prancis

12 Jun 2012

Nasri kemudian menjelaskan si jurnalis meminta komentar soal selebrasinya setelah pertandingan. "Dia bertanya kepada siapa selebrasi itu ditujukan, dan aku bilang itu untuk dia," jawab Nasri seperti dilansir YahooSports.

Setelah tertahan akibat menjalani tes doping, Nasri berjalan melalui sejumlah reporter tanpa menjawab satupun pertanyaan.

Euro 2012 Group D preview: Ukraine vs Sweden

11 Jun 2012

Ukraine will make their Euro 2012 debut in front of a home crowd in Kiev against Sweden on Monday.

Ukraine, who have only ever qualified for one major tournament - the 2006 FIFA World Cup - are co-hosting the European Championships with Poland and will play in front of a partisan home crowd in their Group D opener.

Oleg Blokhin's side have not enjoyed an ideal build-up to the tournament, with successive friendly defeats to Austria and Turkey - countries who did not qualify for Euro 2012 - concerning the locals about their hopes of progressing from a tough group that also includes France and England.

But veteran striker Andriy Shevchenko is confident Ukraine will bounce back against the Swedes and open their campaign in style.

"I won't dispute the fact that in the games against Austria and Turkey things happened in our team that were far from what was wanted," Shevchenko said.

"But there were reasons for this. I can assure you in the match against Sweden you will see an absolutely different style of play from the Ukraine national team."

With Andriy Voronin and Marko Devic likely to start up front, it appears that the 35-year-old Shevchenko, who has played for the likes of AC Milan and Chelsea, will have to settle for a role off the bench initially.

"To be honest, I don't care how many minutes I will be out on the pitch," he said.

"The main thing for me is to do the right things to help the team."

A shortage of goalkeepers is of some concern to Blokhin, with Olexandr Shovkovskiy (shoulder), Andriy Dykan (concussion) and Olexandr Rybka (suspension for doping) all on the sidelines.

That means 27-year-old Andriy Pyatov - who plays his club football for Shakhtar Donetsk - will start in goal, against a Swedish forward line containing the likes of AC Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic and PSV's Ola Toivonen, who both enjoyed prolific seasons in front of goal.

Sweden have won their past four matches and earned automatic entry for the tournament after finishing as the best second-placed side in qualifying.

They defeated the Netherlands 3-2 in Stockholm in October to qualify and with the likes of Rasmus Elm, Sebastian Larsson and Johan Elmander also in the squad, the Swedes have the firepower to cause a few upsets this month.

Elmander (right foot) is the main injury worry for Sweden, but with their domestic season starting in March, many of their players are in prime condition.

Ukraine are missing first-choice centre-back Dmytro Chygrynskiy (thigh) but also have a relatively clean bill of health.

A tight contest is expected and with the support of the majority of the crowd, Ukraine will be keen to do their fans proud and make a strong start to the tournament.

But Sweden will be no easy beats and will feel quietly confident about their chances of pulling off an upset.

Euro 2012 Group D preview: France vs England

France coach Laurent Blanc is expecting a fired-up England when the two sides meet in the Group D opener at Euro 2012 on Monday.

England, who replaced manager Fabio Capello with Roy Hodgson in May, enter a major tournament without the weight of expectation that normally surrounds them.

But having made the semi-finals of a major tournament just once since 1968 - when they lost to Germany on penalties in the last four at Euro 1996 - it is easy to see why England are not among the favourites to win the tournament in Poland and Ukraine.

On the other hand, an unbeaten run of 21 matches has Blanc's side - littered with top talent like Franck Ribery, Samir Nasri and Karim Benzema - predicted to be one of the teams who can challenge Spain for the title.

"England will give everything because, when there are French against English, it raises the game above the normal international match," Blanc said.

"We are going to have to be extremely strong physically. That is going to be a difficult match. But we don't fear them more than other teams."

The last time the two sides met at the European Championships, in 2004, France defeated England 2-1 in the group stages thanks to Zinedine Zidane, who scored a superb free-kick and a penalty in injury time.

Of more recent times, France's winning streak has included friendly victories against Brazil, Germany and England.

They beat Monday's opponents 2-1 at Wembley in November 2010, with Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena getting on the scoresheet.

In France's last four matches, they have scored 11 goals and Blanc is pleased with his side's form going forward, but wants them to rediscover their form down back if they are to stand a chance of winning the tournament.

"Fundamentally we always knew that we had a quality attack," he said.

"In the last three games Franck Ribery has rediscovered his club form at this level. With Karim Benzema, who has carried on his excellent form for Real Madrid, that makes two hugely talented players.

"In qualifying we relied on a good defence, I hope that we can rediscover this level of performance in defence."

England head into the tournament on the back of successive 1-0 friendly wins over Norway and Belgium, and Hodgson appears to have made defence his number one priority.

Expect England to play a counter-attacking game and without the suspended Wayne Rooney, Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck will lead the line up front with club team-mate Ashley Young just behind him.

With midfielders Frank Lampard (thigh) and Gareth Barry (stomach) sidelined for the tournament, Steven Gerrard and Scott Parker will play protective roles in front of the back four.

France are likely to be without midfielder Yann M'Vila (ankle) but Alou Diarra (knee) could feature.

As ever, the first match of a major tournament is always vital, no matter who the opponents are.

But with the rivalry between England and France always strong, Monday's match in Donetsk takes on extra significance.
