Henry hat-trick earns New York victory

koclokindoblog, 1 april 2012, Thierry Henry hat-tricked helped the New York Red Bulls to back-to-back wins in the MLS, after their 5-2 thrashing of the Montreal Impact.
The legendary French forward earned his first league treble in the American top-flight, with team-mates Kenny Cooper and Mehdi Ballouchy also scoring for New York at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.
Henry also had a hand in the Ballouchy goal, flicking a clever pass to the Moroccan midfielder before wrapping up the win, and his hat-trick, moments later.
The Red Bulls are now second in the Eastern Conference on six points, three shy of leaders Sporting Kansas.
Conference rivals New England caused a boilover, with a 3-1 away win over the Los Angeles Galaxy.
The Revolution led 2-0 after 14 minutes courtesy of goals to Kelyn Rowe and Chris Tierney, before adding a third on 65 minutes through Sene Saer.
Galaxy striker Robbie Keane pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time, but it was not enough to save LA from their third loss in four.
Real Salt Lake top the Western Conference table, after stealing a 3-2 away win at the Portland Timbers.
A Darlington Nagbe brace had looked to see the hosts at JELD-WEN Field to victory after Alvaro Saborio's opener from the spot for visitors.
But Salt Lake equalised in the 89th minute through Jonathan Steele, before Kyle Beckerman netted three minutes into injury time to nab an unlikely win to the visitors.
The San Jose Earthquakes are second in West - level on points with Salt Lake - after a 1-0 away win over the Seattle Sounders.
Columbus Crew moved third in East with a 1-0 away win at Toronto, while Philadelphia Union were held to a scoreless draw at home to the Vancouver Whitecaps.
